Okay, let’s face it, I’m the worst blogger ever.  Well, at least the worst one on my own personal site.  It’s been.. forever since my last post and update, and I really need to get back to this all.. I swear I’m going to try to be better.  I’ve had a lot going on in my life lately, so I’ve been playing catch up a bit there.

I can officially put this on my site now…. I got a new job!  I worked at my last position for about two and a half years.  As my fortune cookie the other night said, “Burned bridges are hard to cross”, so I won’t go into huge detail really, but I will say that I was doing IT work (database administrator was my title, but I kind of dabbled in everything and wasn’t a REAL dba by normal standards).  I think I was pretty damn good at my job, but what it comes down to is I wasn’t passionate about it.  I liked things here and there, but I wasn’t in love with what I was doing or with the industry and so, at the end of the day, I was working for the paycheck, or the weekend, or whatever other cliche you can come up with.

I found a marketing position (Marketing Associate is my official title) at a great company in Mt. Laurel, and just started 2 weeks ago (today was my 12th day)!  The company is Robard Corporation/Food Sciences Corporation and I have to say, it’s a really great place to work so far.  I’ll be doing a lot of writing/blogging/social media stuff, so be sure to check out the websites: www.robard.com and www.foodsciences.com and the blog blog.robard.com.  I’m learning a lot about health and healthy living, and hopefully I can transfer it to my home life.

For the first time in a long time, I can say I’m excited to go to work everyday and loving what I’m doing and what I’m learning.  I’m just content and happy.. and I feel like things are going right for me.  Yay!

On a side note, I’ve been bombarded with this quote lately and need to say I think it relates to a lot of what is going on in the world: Be the change you wish to see in the world.  With that said donate now to Haiti.  Come together as one world, for one goal.
